My current version of .NET Framework is 2.0.50727. Do I need .NET Framework version 3.5

Oh yeah and I found this too in the Alert Box:
"Could Not load file or assembly 'System.core, version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' or one of it's dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

I'm hoping this can be fixed immediately.
