Avira Free, RKill, and being sensible. I would not be able to recommend any premium software as I have little experience with them.

I was thinking about going and writing about the lack of attention of DMR's death on one of those post-it notes everyone seems to be putting on apple stores' windows, but it was raining and they probably took them all down the day after jobs' death.

Re: The World Ending?
If anything, basing an 'end of the world' date on the Zodiac is even worse than on religious texts. There is nothing magical or divine about the particular arrangement of a bunch of burning balls of hydrogen and helium relative to an observer on a tiny rock.xN8Gx wrote:words

Re: The World Ending?
The funny thing is that people have some idea that this world and the life on it is just somehow important, and that there must be some ancient prophecy that shapes the end of it according to some holy wrath or rapture. The galaxy with its hundreds of billions of starts, and the universe with its hu...

No, and taking an ancient, half-deciphered calendar and an old tome that has been altered countless times by monks and bishops and reformers, does not constitute as "evidence". If you think it does, then go join the braindead morons who will be running round the streets in December '12.

Re: Tree of Promotions
Oh God it's not hard. Some people just play the game for the building aspect, and may not be interested in trying to moderate. Those people go for mason and architect. And sometimes they change their minds and decide to go to the op route. They then make that known and we treat it on a case-by-case ...

Re: BF3 and MW3
The Call of Duty series (at least the ones for the 7th-generation) is something I utterly despise, although it pains me to say that I actually fairly enjoyed the single player campaign for World at War. Multiplayer-wise there were two large maps - I can't recall their names but one had a railway bri...

Re: help with map
I don't understand what you wrote, did that happen with a 512x512x256 map? Because it shouldn't. Map dimensions should be in powers of 2 (or you can use multiples of 16) like 128, 256, 512, 1028 etc. That edge glitch will happen when you use dimensions that aren't those special numbers. Contest, i'm...

It sounds like your display card/driver is flabbergasted. And I arranged Battleships a bit more nicely and fixed the corrupted stuff. I somehow lost your sub in the process but I do have it on a backup somewhere.

Re: New Temp Map?
Shure, let's just hope it doesn't take too long to come out, because the longer we spend on temp maps, the more dedicated players we will lose. But I can definitely see the advantage of having a 1.9 temp map as opposed to a short lived 'permanent' one.

Re: BF3 and MW3
I don't like the majority of old games, I don't fall for this retro lark either. In most cases these games are too simplistic for me, even though I respect the fact that they were made a while ago. Note I'd define "old" as anything before the 5th generation (PSX, N64, Saturn).

Pointless discussion is pointless. Why was it even started? We ban people making swastikas and nazi references because 99.9% of the time they are doing them as a form of trolling other players, since they know many people will take offence to them. Maybe certain people don't like communism as well. ...
