Another Idea I've had would be is an Ingame Password verification.
I was recently hacked on my server, because someone used a client that didn't require a password.
It would be very simple, when users log on they can turn the feature on or off via /passprotect ON/Off
/setpass (Password)
and they can set a password for their login name.
Ingame pass verification
Re: Ingame pass verification
Don't turn off player verification and you'll be fine... Players need to come in verified through Minecraft.net in that case and if MC.net is down (provided the setting is set to "Balanced"), otherwise their IP is checked. Unless someone spoofed your IP, this couldn't have happened.
Also, pass verification won't happen without a true database backend since it's very ineffective to add/modify fields in our current flatfile structure.

Re: Ingame pass verification
When I turn on name verification I can't even get into my own server. I do have a legitimate Minecraft.net account which I log in with, however when I try to join it ALWAYS says Name cannot be verified. I have look this up several times and I can't seem to get it to work, this is why I suggested this add-on

My server also had a similar problem.
Set name verification to none, got hacked, 130,000+ owners

Re: Ingame pass verification
Never turn off verification. EVER.
If you can't join your own server MC.net might be down and you might have a dynamic IP. Or you are using an old version of WoM with b0rked authentication. Or you are using an old version of fCraft.
There isn't any other possibility.

Actually when you're connecting from lan (except localhost) it wont work when you try to use the url the server gives you. In this case refer to http://www.fcraft.net/wiki/Installation ... t_from_LANLim-Dul wrote:If you can't join your own server MC.net might be down and you might have a dynamic IP.
