Teaching a fledgeling builder when the server is at full capacity is nigh impossible. Pm's back and forth could be used, as the blue text would be simple to identify. But what if there were a way to isolate just one player to hear, and listen to no one else? I imagine this as an IgnoreNot command.

I could see it being used just like /ignore, but with a playername in front of it that you would like to isolate. Something like /ignorenot (playername). Its removal would perhaps look something like /ignorenot *, or maybe /unignorenot
If a new builder were to use this on their teacher in school, and simply be told to remove it afterwards, it would make that information transfer more streamlined. Past that scenario, I don't know where else it would be too effective, but could make a nice perk.

Thanks!

Well thinking through this idea, most teachers are veteran's - op's. These rank can still make mistakes and get into trouble doing something wrong, so a better idea is only let builder+ have the cmd, and make it only show the higher ranks chat. for example:

vet is teaching a builder, he does /ignorenot (the builder)
other builder asks question, vet doesnt see it.
op asks a question, and veteran sees it.

another example:

supop is teaching a op, he does /ignorenot (the op)
other op asks question, supop doesnt see it.
owner asks a question, and supop sees it.

the basic idea is that you want to see higher ranks chat because, hell, ollie or pyro could be yelling at you, and theyll think your ignoring them.

just some thoughts. another idea is enclose chat to school map only, if that would be possible, capturing that they joined school and deafen other than the others that joined school. And taking what i said earlier, only the higher ranks will show chat messages. and staff chat will always be visible. sorry for not putting it in its own topic -.-

0.7xx is dead. The major changes to the chat system have been completed in 0.600.
