Whitelist?

Is there any possible way to put a whitelist on the server? I would love to have one. Whitelist as in only people who's names are on it can access server. Are you easily able to add one of these?

Do you just add a txt file named whitelist? Is it that easy or do you have to do it another way. Or am I a complete idiot and theres already one there?

If you were asking about the Freebuild classic software, ignore this post.
If you were pertaining to SMP:
If you are running Craftbukkit (pretty sure this works with the regular server client as well), go to where your Server folder is at.
This should be the same place your crafbukkit batch file or minecraft_server.exe file is. There should be something called "server.properties". You need to edit this with a program such as
Notepad++ and set your whitelist property to true instead of false.
Now, I'm not sure about the generic client, but with craftbukkit there is a whitelist.txt file already created. Just add what names you want to this and your finished.

Though it wouldn't surprise me if SMP was what he was wondering about

I'm using fcraft for classic. So I'm confused I can't run the server without something like bukkit? Or am I able to run it just with the program ya'll provide.

No, you can. I just failed to notice that this was placed in the fCraft Classic software section.
As how to put a whitelist on it, I can't answer that question.
