ok so this morning i went to play on minecraft but when it loaded it said where the minecraft classic used to be it said looking for minecraft classic and i clicked and it said minecraft classic is down forever. my question is will we be able to chat here with our friends?

It doesn't state it was "down forever", but that it's no longer supported (by mojang).
The link to the serverlist itself can be found by clicking on the word "multiplayer" in the grey line underneath that statement. Alternatively you can just click

No ollie, it has been like that for about 12 hours, they first deleted it, then put it back with a new message, check it out :3
