the minecraft world has been around for a long time, many people have moved on.

I am new to it and have been given the chance to staff a server running fcraft.

The owner has also moved on and is never on the classic server so I have problems contacting him.
He also runs other programs on the internet from the same computer so is happy to leave classic running.

Can someone help me answer a few problems?

1. Is there any way to see worlds that have been generated but not loaded? I would clear them out or use them instead of generating new ones. I cant get at the files on the computer directly.

2.Can I alter the rules without being able to get at the rules.txt file directly?

3. How can I stop things scrolling off the top of the screen such as /commands (there are so many as a mod they scroll off the top) and zones (again they scroll off the top before I can see them)?

4. I can get on the server with the user name I made months ago and is now staff but recently registered another username so I could check things as a newb. It had to be a e-mail address user name and the server refuses to let me on , any idea why? It lets me on to some of the other servers through the wom client but not all.

Thanks,

Matelot

thank you for your reply bob.
Is the comment in 1 an abbreviation? I don't understand AFAIK? :)
I assume 2 refers to the answer in 1.
3 do you know how to break it up?
4 I have put a question on the thread you gave me the link to. I solves my problem of why, I hope it can solve my problem of how to now.
Thanks
