Ladies and gents, to quell the boredom of SMP and the wait for 1.3, I have launched a temporary Tekkit server found at IP: smp.fcraft.net:333. This also has an IRC channel at #fCraft.tekkit. If you are not familiar with what tekkit is you can do your own research at CLICK HERE.

Be aware that this is TEMPORARY so don't get pissy if your intricate machine gets unloaded. Current supops+ will have access to a kick and ban command ONLY so everyone is on a fair playing field, playing legitimate, non-creative industrial shit. If you are having difficulty connecting ensure you have the most recent version (3.1.2 | 1.2.5 | Latest)

Even though this is non-permanent lets be clear:

- This does NOT mean you can grief, lie, cheat and steal. Play nice or don't play at all.
- The server can be taken down at any time without warning in the event of memory failure or similar.
- If someone does not want to tell you how to do something, stop pestering them (due to tekkit's steep learning curve) although I would encourage anybody with experience to assist the noobs.
- The plugins that are compatible with tekkit are pretty limited. Do not expect an intricate experience like in SMP as I don't want to put in effort to this temporary server.
- Please be server conscious. As tekkit is very complicated and memory intense at times a multiplayer environment puts a lot of stress on a server. Don't have a billion pipelines going, or a silly amount of engines, or things like that.

I will also be experimenting around you guys with plugins and other things so if you are keen on a permanent server for this (when we get our upgrade) let me know your ideas and suggestions in this thread. It is based around bukkit so bukkit plugins work most of the time, however there are some incompatibilities. Be aware that in the full server many things will likely be heavily disabled for lower ranks.

On the issue of server resources, have you considered removing King Arthurs Gold? I don't think anyone plays that.

It would be a nice addition to mix things up a bit when we get the dedicated server.

They do suck up the memory though.
