Enderpearls and raiding

I just wanted some clarification on whether ender-pearls are allowed to be used to get into peoples houses to loot/raid and explore. There seems to be a grey cloud around this area and no-one really knows.

I think they should be, as they are a naturally occurring item in minecraft and that if people haven't protected their homes/chests properly then there is a possibility of them getting looted.

Other peoples opinions?

The rule is you are not allowed to grief or exploit bugs to get in.

Enderpearl is neither of these, so it's allowed.

I remember a discussion between fochlac and dobby ashy about that topic.
There's one aspect about enderperls which moves it into said greyarea:
One can use enderperls to teleport through doors.
Whether that's a bug or a feature in the vanilla game, it can be used (and has been used already) to dodge lwc locks.

It's not a grey area. That's abusing a bug and so is against the rules.

I was under the impression that people were throwing them through gaps in roofs or whatever. A solid wall which includes a door is not allowed to be teleported through.
