We should totally start a town called Herpes Sheep in the nether/skywhatchmacallit, just for giggles.

Take the railway from Initus to Indierock
Last time I tried that, I lost my minecart inside the first block on the track. :(

Hmm, do you have plans for a church?
I'll make a church if you like, I'll make a basic design on freebuild and post it if you want? :)

Are we gonna change names every day, King, or will we eventually settle on one? I mean, all the signs would have to come down, and we'd have to update the tourist brochures.

Fix my beaches, dude. So not cool. I've put dirt in, just put some sand on top to make up for the stuff you've removed. Y'know, the place just to the north west (why do I always think it's north?) where you raped the beach? Fix. Now.

When you shall pick a single spot for a home, I shall not rape any beaches anymore.

P.S.: I'll add some sand, but please do consider choosing a spot for a home. I can't seem to find any resources close that aren't near the unoccupied houses.

That thing to the west is "a single spot for a home". I've got something over to the north (south?), by my manor, but I don't really care about it any more.

Alright, I'm bumping this because I'm asking for assistance. As you all know, we are on temporary maps until the full game release. However, I got special permissions to build Armaita in singleplayer and copy it into a schematic for the release so I dont have to wait to build it.

"So why did you bump this just to tell us this?"
Because I am looking for some help in construction. Now, due to this being a school ip, I can not port forward without risking my internet being shut down by creating a multiplayer s server. So, I am having different "sections" set up throughout the city that can be done in singleplayer. There are several smaller projects that need to be done to add to the final project. Here are just a few:

-Old time Colonial Ship with sails
-Lion statue (ask me for picture)
-Clocktower design (im looking for a better one)
-Windmill design
-Tower design using this base (using dark wood, stone slabs, stone brick, stone)

:iron: :iron: :iron: :gold: :gold: :gold: :gold: :gold: :iron: :iron: :iron:
-Church
-Lighthouse (preferably no lava)
-Any other medieval style design houses you wish to show me

***WARNING*** If you build it and I feel as if I really don't want it, I will not automatically put it in the castle "just cause you built it for me." It has to look nice!

If you do wish to, get at me here. You will need the SinglePlayer Commands that uses WorldEdit found here:
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/943 ... k-updated/

I would highly prefer upper class builders, but if you want to take a shot at it and aren't the best build, go ahead. Your build might be nice enough after all. Don't underestimate yourself!

Anyone who contributed in any way will be shown in a video walkthrough of the city with commentary (and will be invited to do commentary WITH me as i do it) and will have a special little gift in store for them!

Pictures of Armaita can be found here:

Thanks!

Are you going to use pailstone or redstone for them? I would like to use pailstone for the gate and clock. However, can you describe an example of the docks and city lighting?

City lighting: will be 'yellow' or 'white' wool on a stick during the day.
And with pailstone they get replaced at night. So your lights are 'off' during the day.

Saves energy.

Docks: will use some sort of gate/flood system to easly get out the boat, and keeps the boats on the spot while you go shop in the city, and when your back you can push a button to 'flush' you back out.

Combo of redstone/pailstone i gues, docs i can make 100% with redstone but i think its fun with pailstone as well.

btw, trying to make a erhm,,... (sluis in nederlands), as well with pailstone... just adding layers of water with a timer to make you go up and down waterstreams. looks like a fun project.
Going to try make that in the tempserver soonish to see if its cool.

I figured you meant you were going to cuboid the lights in. Actually, I will probably have you do the gate (like the one Castle Crabhammer has. maybe even something better if you've got the idea :3), the docks sound interesting, and the lighting. Because even though I'm working on Armaita in singleplayer, I cant use pailstone. Some of it will have to wait until it is pasted in the final map. However, that being said, you have time to try whatever you want and I'll have you noted as the maker of most of the pailstone/redstone stuff. I already have the clock set up for pailstone so I won't need it. Thanks

I'm really looking at something along the lines of what I have for Castle Crabhammer. Its my smp build if you didn't know. If I like the general design, I may just see if you can change a couple things.

As for height, i'll get back to you on that

I'd be pretty keen to help. And as Christian, church architecture fascinates me. Id be willing to have a shot at that if you have any designs in mind? (or I can find/make my own, lol)

Surprise me. Let's go with a simpler church. Medium sized, and medieval style. You can use dark wood, stone brick, glowstone, planks, stone, and stone slabs. You can build it on freebuild first if you want to show me before you build the whole thing and it wasn't what i had in mind :3

As for that, I have an update. I was more looking for a tower to add connected to a wall. such as a gate tower. However, I decided to do these myself. So, if you want I still need a lighthouse and/or watchtower. Feel free to make those. Watchtower can be like 25-30 blocks tall, must be medieval style, and can use the blocks I listed above

For lighthouse I was thinking something like this

As for the tower, I was looking at something like this:

But made out of the blocks I mentioned earlier and with the the smaller tower you see on the side on all 4 sides.
