[SOLVED] Wondering when your Server is in the Top List?

Post by ven000m »

Hey Guys.

I'm just wondering, how the Minecraft Classic servers.jsp is listening servers.

When i set the Port to 25565, its listed very below.
When it is 25566, its in the top10.

Do you know how that is working?

minecraft.net does not use any consistent sorting for servers.jsp page. I've asked the Mojang web developer (Tobias Mollstam) about this, and he did not know or care about the sorting. So I don't think they'll bother fixing it any time soon.

It appears that the position on the list is random, and it's different every time you change the port number. So you can experiment a bit, and find a random port that ends up near the top.

There's nothing else I can do about this, sorry.
