I've been wanting to be Mason for a little while now, and hopefully you guys will see why in this post. :D Here's why:

-Lots of people have energetic reactions to seeing my builds

-I've gotten compliments from higher ranks than myself, such as mason, op, and trustee

-I work very hard to make my builds look exactly how I want them

Oh yeah, and I like the color BLUE!

So I hope that, since you saw my application, you would be willing to promote me to mason! :D

Thanks! -Brendaminos

Nice towers!! Great stuff! Love the sandstone one.

Few things here-

:red: -I see all you are applying with is towers, now, don't get me wrong, they are great but most of the time variation is good. It would be cool to see some buildings.

:red: -If you could build on a larger scale maybe? If you invest as much effort into expanding your builds horizontally as well as vertically they would be awesome.

:green: -I love your use of layers! Keep it up in your future builds!

Keep building! I can't wait to see you as Brendaminos.

i think what you have produced so far is very good maybe you could try to get a bit more detail in there eg furniture on EVERY floor i think you should add a bit more detail possibly and maybe show off your skills in one huge biuld i hope you get your rank and that the others think the same as me i think in a few weeks you will earn your title as Brendaminos :D

How are towers not buildings?

Nice builds Brendaminos!

You have very good potential, and I think you'll do great as a mason.
Two recommendations:

Make your builds less rectangular and add more organic shapes
Add [fancyhide][/fancyhide] or [hidden][/hidden] tags to your post to make it fast to scroll through the topic, and more organized. (you can group certain builds together) etc.

I'd love to see a little bit more variety. Try building something out of your comfort zone.

Sorry, should have clarified,

They are, but I meant a "build" more horizontally focused as well as just up.

I recently built a new building that is perhaps the most spectacular thing I've built to date. It's a 35 floor full interior residential skyscraper!

This is the building from the ground, just as you enter the courtyard:

The full building, from a distance:

The main entrance and courtyard:

The top floors of the building (notice how it tapers inwards) and the spire:

And finally, the interior of an apartment before it has been decorated:

I let people move in and decorate their apartments as they please, as long as it doesn't effect what can be seen from the outside or from apartments below it or above it. I hope you are impressed enough by this build (along with my previous ones) to promote me to mason! :D

Like I said, I wouldn't mind to see my username as Brendaminos ;)

It looks good, but it seems you still haven't made something that wasn't a tower. Try making something abstract rather than concrete. It'll will be greatly help you on your way to being a better build and becoming mason.

Edit: After Googling to find some examples of possible references and realizing that all of our buildings in the future are going to look like shit, here are a few I managed to come up with based on fantasy lore:

I found this concept really cool.

Any of those. Just mix it up with some angles and different shapes rather than squares.

I was thinking about maybe building Taj Mahal...... too bad there's no space in builder_vet_flat!

Haha I'm kidding...... I imagine I could find some space somewhere in that trashed place

I keep getting told to build something abstract. Depending on what you consider "abstract", I've built an "abstract" TIE Fighter from Star Wars. It's nothing too fancy, but it was fun to build.

The front:

The inside:

Like I said, it's nothing too fancy. It's nothing like Xb0x4dm's Titanic. Haha. But I'm going to keep building, and I'm going to keep adding to this application.

I'm determined to get mason
