My classic server works for me but nobody else

i set up port fowarding correctly i think because it says 25565 is now open! when i checked it but when my friends try and join it says no connection server proberly down? I was runnning it.

I'm not sure if this is the problem, but I often forgot to open my firewall as well.

What steps did you take when port forwarding, because if you did it wrong or got the wrong router code then that could cause it to think its open. also how is your internet setup as you may need to port more than one device, thus causing your NAT to be incompatible when trying to connect to other hosts (your friends). basically where does your internet come from, and what does your PC plug into etc.

Two most common causes of "unable to connect" errors are port forwarding and firewalls. I don't really know what to try beyond that.

some people may have to double port forward, ive heard that on many different site for how to port forward MC servers
