Hi everyone!
We haven't had one of these in a long time, so I think it is a good time to revive our building contests.
What's the contest?
Contest is open to anyone ranked builder or higher. Show off your building skill and earn some cool prizes! You can build either on Freebuild or CMP server. Prizes will be awarded to the top three entries. Winners can choose (in order of placement) from 3 Steam games: (Five Nights At Freddy's, LIMBO, The Forest). This month's theme is: Halloween / Horror
How do I enter?
To enter, join the contest area and build something relevant to the theme. On Freebuild, join the Contest map (/j Contest). On CMP, join the Contest world (/mv tp Contest). If there is not enough room for your entry in the allotted space, you can build on a different world (as long as you follow all the contest rules) or admins can add another map for you (Contest2, Contest3, etc.).
How much time will I have to build?
You can start building now. You have until the end of this month (October). After this time, the map will be locked and voting will begin.
How is the contest judged?
Builds will be judged on originality, detail, effort, and adherence to the theme. Any player ranked Mason or above who is not competing can become a judge. After the contest period ends, judges will each pick three (3) of their favorite builds. Creation that got the most votes will earn its builder the win. Winners will be announced in this thread.
I started on something cool last week, can I just finish it for the contest?
To keep things fair, everyone has to build something from scratch for this contest, between now and the end of the month. Each player may create one build/entry, and receive at most one prize.
