Yey. Annual new thread on the classic gallery.

Here is the Trost District from the anime Shingeki no Kyojin.
Below is the completed build:



This is based on a town that appears in a large number of episodes near the start.

Here is the trailer for the anime as some people are confused what I'm building =PP (worth noting the town in the trailer is a different town to my build)

Buildy Buildy!
(Before I forget how I did it)

Week 1
I started by making a rough net for a Titan head

I started filling this out section by section, I used the Mirror commands Skinny helped me with which I never used before to save a bit of time, so fill out left side, copy to right.

Just about finished (1 week, about 12 hours)

Week 2
I started mapping out the wall and the rest of the world, this took nearly a week

Building wall and gate in centre of wall

Week 3

Building a defensive pitfall and the wooden barricades, these took quite a while as a lot of single block placing and only the odd cube commands for the pit

Bottom area complete with bridge, left side mirror pasted to right.

Next was tracks on top of wall and two huts which transport stuff up in lifts

Week 4

Finished tracks and added cannons to them, the tracks took about 3 or 4 hours, the cannons only about 30 min to build and 15 min to paste everywhere, no mirror command here as the tracks span different lengths and widths

Left to build

Inside of wall/gate - the central area needs to be accessible. (1 week) DONE
The rest of Titan, particularly his shoulders and arm so he is interacting with the wall. (2 weeks) DONE 04/2014
The town (lots of houses) DONE 18/05/2014

Update: town is next now but got to research the color schemes and buildings and general layout of houses, joy

Titan is done for now but needs a bit of tweaking

A start on the houses, I plan to make 5-10 different styles and shapes then copy paste rotate etc to form a town.

Looking awesome so far, good to see builds from classic.

Aim to finish by next weekend! So 1 and a half weeks!

And for fun, there are also 4 Hebi's (snakesssss) hidden around the map. They don't spoil the scene as they are hidden from view. Try find them all! All of them can be found without clipping through wall/floors/roofs or using any hacks in general so don't cheat. They look like this.
