Sometimes there isn't always 2 OPs online. When Guests build well and a OP has to wait for another OP. I think, Masons and +Arch .. Can give there Opinion to OPs for a guest to get a promo to builder... Like a back up, in case there isn't any other OPs online.
Just a suggestion, what do you guys think about it?

Re: Mason opinion's for Promo's
Although I have always been all-for such an idea... I've even wanted to help out when I was a Mason.
However... Masons are strictly a building rank.
Plus promotions involve more than just the build itself.
As Ops we view and moderate their behavior which can also have an influence on their promotion, for instance we are in the habit of doing a /info on most guests before a promotion.
Sometimes an Op forgets to do that and misses the fact that such a guest has been warned or kicked for griefing mere minuets ago but the other Op picks up on it, Masons really never had to do it as part of a procedure.
However, I've never been afraid to ask a Mason on what they think of a particular build, your input is valued, more than you think!
I think the better solution is to get more responsible Ops during all time zones, I notice that around 2-3am we have an "Op rush". More Ops than we need at a particular time, yet fast forward a good 12 hours where
It's about 2-3pm and Ops aren't very active.
Anyway, that's how I have viewed it.

I approve of this idea. Masons know a fair bit about building quality, and it can't hurt to ask their opinion on a build, if that's what a guest's potential promotion boils down to. If their info is good, they don't have a bunch of banned accounts or whatever on their ip, and the only thing we have to judge them on is their build, I'd say yeah, mason/arch opinion should count. I don't think they should feel inclined to have to give their input, it's just an option if they aren't busy building and wanna help out.

To summerise: Its at the ops+ to decide if they are going to ask for a mason to vote.
As its still the ops+ name that promoted thats responsable for the promotion.
Masons+ has NO vote rights, but they can be asked for there input.
I will not allow chats like
'Hey! op+ wakeup! we have 4 masons online and we like this person, so its 4 yes against your no! so promote him!'
Actions will be taken, if i see chats like these.

Re: Mason opinion's for Promo's
I have never asked an OP to promo someone. I have said keep an eye out on this persons builds never demanding them. In matter of fact I don't think I have ever seen any masons say such things . So no worries inter , we are all pretty mature to know are place as masonsIntertoothh wrote:Yes, altho it was in a section of the forum not everybody can read.Sanjar Khan wrote:We already do, and we already discussed this as well.
