So recently, a thought popped into my head during a terrible moment of boredom; what if I put various aspects of our fCraft server to a graph? Below, you'll find the results of this little experiment of mine.
I have drawn fourteen original fGraphs so far, and I plan to update this thread periodically, with additional graphs as I draw them. Please note that these graphs are entirely for fun-zees. They are not, by any means, meant to be taken seriously.
So here we go:
#1: Command Syntax
This fGraph was the first I made. It plots the difficulty of learning a rank's new commands against the rank itself. This is specific to freebuild, because on CMP, the difficulty goes to infinity regardless of rank.
#2: Guests
This fGraph speaks for itself, I think.
#3: Rank up!
This fGraph represents the average time it takes to rise in rank. Lim as rank --> owner = infinity.
#4: Rank up 2!
This fGraph is the same as the one before; it just is more specific. It plots the elapsed time by rank for people such as
xStanthemanx or
Mandulligan, etc (there are many more).
#5: Skills
This fGraph also speaks for itself quite well.
#6: Ninja
Gotta love that /hide command.
#7: Command Size
This fGraph is a personal favorite of mine. I hope most of you remember the outlier; I know I sure do.
#8: Out to Lunch
Who knows how much time Trustees+ farm? Only them; no one else can see. Who knows how much time Owners farm?
Nobody. Owners can hide from Owners.
#9: CMP Syntax
This one is kind of difficult to read, but here's what I'm going for. I mentioned that for each rank, difficulty goes to infinity. So, I immediately thought of the tangent function. While it's not quite f(x) = tan(x), here's what I came up with. The Local Min is the moment you realize just how difficult your rank's commands really are. And the Local Max is when you have finally mastered those commands, and feel on top of the world, only to get promoted and be back at the beginning with new commands.
#10: My Sweet New Kicks
You think it's about shoes. You're wrong. For the record, Ollie's gargantuan kick-count was likely (lol) done with SetInfo. Do I care? Nope; makes for a great graph.
#11: Nothing but Stats
Guests tend to break more than they build. Other ranks, not so much.
#12: Futility
Those types of guests really are cool. They pop up every so often.
#13: Quality Control
You need to take into consideration also, that back in the day, the commands were not as nifty as they are now. That being said, I think today's blue builders are pretty damn good.
#14: Never Fails
I may as well just map "Drop Item" to my Page Up key.
EDIT: Look in the comments page below for the fMaths section of this thread!
WARNING: You will need to understand basic calculus to understand that section!
And that's all of them, for now. Let me know what you think. If you like 'em, I'll keep making 'em. And even if you don't, I probably will anyways.
All for now,
