Be proud of your ride

Post by Scrathy »

This topic is to show of your vehicle that is yours. Don't be shy of what you drive, many people don't have a license or a vehicle at all. Lets see what you drive.

(Cats) disclaimer, this isn't an epeen topic, just to show of your pride of what you drive.

I drive a 1999 Saturn sc1 shoc. 226'00ms on it. It boasts a 1000 watt sound system in it and a stripped interior. I made it 0.5 seconds faster than what it is supposed to do.

Here is my soundsystem. 1000 watts over 3 speakers:

Back from lack of internet hiatus...
Thats a sexy car you got there Hylloch. Very jealous ;)

I sold my saturn and my coworkers turned it into a derby car.
Now I drive a 99 Chevy Tahoe.
I got those 20 inch rims and tires for dirt cheap. It pays to have connections.

Well I don't own the car I drive, but it's a 1998 Ford f150 with nothing special to it besides the regular maintenance.

Will be buying this towards the end of the year:

In white though. Yes, it's a Golf Mk. 7... BUT it's a Golf Mk. 7 R - 300bhp, 0-100km/h in 4.9s, top speed electronically limited to 250km/h, all-wheel drive. :)

It's quite expensive though for a Golf... ~45K Euros. But whatever. I like acceleration. ^^

Lim: Thats a nice car. I hope to see you driving that soon! Too bad it dosent have a 6 cylinder :( But it is still very fast,
Bazinga: I am jealous of that car. I hope you can afford the parts to keep it on the road!

Update on my tahoe. The transmission went on it. What do you expect when it has 320 thousand kms on it. $2600 to replace the transmission. Warrantied until it gets 500 thousand kms.
Time for a new interior on the truck. I am ordering suede to redo all the interior panels. My next step is to save up for a new motor on the truck.

Well, because it doesn't have 6 cylinders it does 6.9l/100km (34mpg) despite having 300bhp. :3

Well I had a rental 2012 Impala and it did the same. According to what the car said on the dash :)
But it is still a 4 cylinder much better than a 5.7 liter v8.
80 bucks of gas a week for my tahoe.

Apart from being big, fugly and heavy? :-P
If it had 300bhp then it had to have like a 3.6L engine (which goes to show how American engineering fares against Germans, the Golf R only has 2.0L ;-) and thus I will not believe for a second that it only used 6.9L/100km.

Worth noting is that a Nissan GT-R produces 542bhp out of a 3.8L V6.

I was the one who said all the pre-teens around here get Honda Civics thinking they're cool.

The impala is just a normally aspirated v6. Nothing special about it. No turbochargers no fancy electronics to go wrong or wild tuning to it or engineering into it to produce more horsepower. All they cared about is fuel economy which shows. After all it is an older persons car. No old person wants a super car to loose control and drive into the ditch. (end rant)

But I had to replace the transmission again in my truck. It was covered under the warranty because the mechanics at the dealership here think they know about transmissions. There loss for a new transmission again. Purchased a set of mickey thompson atz 305 55 20s for summer.
