So, some of you might know that I was Cardboard's favorite person because I love the classic Disney movies. Well, last night I saw THIS on television...

I would normally be strongly against a rehash like this but this is the mutha creeper Lion King we're talking about! Now why is this movie rated G again?

Little known fact here. One of Cardboard's eyes doesn't exactly work the way it should, so he can't actually view films or games that are in 3D, so I doubt this news would mean an awful lot to him.

I myself saw the Lion King when it was first released in the cinema and I was a child, and won't be paying to go see it again with a 3D update, cause I don't really see the point. And no, this isn't cause I think it's a kids film, cause I went to see both Toy Story 1 and 2 when they were re-released in 3D. I just think 3D animation makes sense in 3D, whereas 2D animation... no. What 3D tends to do is to suck a lot of colour out of the visuals cause the glasses are so dark. When you have perspective and forms that can take advantage of 3D, then it's impressive of course, and so a compromise can be made.

When you're sucking all of the colour out of a Disney classic so that one flat 2D animal can appear to be in front of another flat 2D animal, you're just being a money grubbing bastard.

No dice.

That's another reason I want to see it. I want to see how Disney did the 3D with a 2D film.
