"WIPville"
WIP(Work In Progress)ville is a village I'm working on near one of the borders of the map. As to whether I'll be selling homes or space, or any of the other fun stuff I haven't decided yet. for right now it's as the name suggests - a work in progress. I'm posting mainly because the space for now is ...

Re: 1.9 Dam organization projects
regarding the creeper thing: I was on a server a while back where creepers still explode (cause as much as I hate them, they are creepers after all) but the explosions don't damage blocks - only players. Something to think about. Sorry for being a little off-topic, but this was the forum where it ca...

Re: Ban Appeal
I figured this might come up - I'm not saying kattoo deserves a demotion, or any other sort of punishment. period. But if guests get the courtesy of warnings and grace periods and etc. etc., it stands to reason that ranked members should at least be asked what they're doing before getting slapped in...

Re: Ban Appeal
You want the long story, so be it, but with a response like "bladiebladiebladiebla" it's pretty obvious that I'm wasting my time. So from the top: I was on freebuild for a few days working my ass off to build the best stuff that I possibly could; not because I was interested in ranking up,...

Re: Ban Appeal
That's very true. I haven't explained it because no one thought to ask before I was banned, which is the problem I'm addressing here. Furthermore, as a guest, builder, veteran, or even op on SMP, the only way to move a build is to tear it down brick by brick and rebuild it somewhere else. Without as...

Ban Appeal
[Ban Appeal] - StKAL When: 10/4/2011 Who: Kattoo Reason Given: None (initially) Kattoo logged on and saw me tearing down what turned out to be his build. I didn't know this at the time (and had been asking who the owner was for about 24 hours), but in the end it doesn't really matter. I was also on ...

Ranks
I've tried to read through as many of the SMP-related posts as I can, and haven't seen anything on the following question, and with 2.0 around the corner I thought I'd go ahead and ask: When we get a "permanent" map in a "stable" release, will there be any sort of ranking system ...

1.8 Textures
I hunted around for this and finally found exactly what I was after (I didn't feel like tracking down a copy of photoshop) http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/fixed-glass-texture-pack/ This texture pack has exactly 0 changes except for those annoying dots on glass are gone. Even the gaps in ...

Re: Ranks
Thanks Helio_, that's exactly what I was getting at :) One thing though, is that imtygatyga and myself were testing out some of the new commands we had access to and found that neither of us could freeze, tyga with vet rank and myself with mason. In both cases it said "command requires vet+&quo...

Re: SMP, the grandest of plans
here's a crazy thought: What about a fairly large build at or near spawn that looks like a post-bombing city (holes in the walls, buildings without roofs, that sort of thing) that is where pvp goes down? I admit that sometimes I like to chop some heads for no reason at all, but when I'm in the middl...

Re: Ranks
right, that's about the level that I've got it understood, but I was thinking something more detailed, including commands for each rank, block limits, responsibilities, etc. etc. etc. I know it would be a fairly detailed post that would take a good bit of time to construct, but like I said - I think...

Re: Communist Symbol Debate
I know I'm sort of butting in here a bit, but something to consider: The communist symbol can be roughly equated to a picture of a U.S. dollar. It is the basis of the economy of a society, but communism, like capitalism, is little more than a symbol of a socio-economic structure. The Swastika was sp...

Ok, so I recently received veteran and Mason ranks, both of which I'm immensely pleased with, but I haven't really had the chance to log on and ask someone at Mason+ what this means, what my new commands are, and whether I'm supposed to do anything more than build bigger stuff! So the reason for thi...

Re: Admin Grief.
Dreaming I appreciate and understand what you're saying, and I totally agree. I build big because it's just what I do. The problem isn't that it was deleted, the problem is that it was an admin. There was no mistaking that it was an admin/trustee/whatever because they left a SIGN on my front damn do...

Admin Grief.
There will probably be some foul language in here because I'm pissed off. So I've been playing around on the SMP server now for awhile since, let's face it, there are more options for building materials and it's where minecraft is headed, so I may as well get used to it. I don't ask for creative mod...

Re: Mason/Architect app
so after looking around for ways that I could improve some of the things in these shots, I discovered that all of the worlds (builder47 and 48, canyontheme2, and u_stkal) are unavailable, except for u_stkal which is empty. Looks like submitting those screenshots before I got my rankup was a good cal...

I usually avoid posting in these threads cause it's none of my business, (I just like the pictures :) ), but on this one I'll say that you may want to try photobucket.com. it's free and has 1-click copying for forum posting of pictures. IDK anything about other sites cause I've never needed to use t...

Re: Mason/Architect app
Thanks Pemalite. Part of the reason I went with the pagoda thing was to see what I could do with the curved corners. Everybody can build a European castle, so I wanted to do something a little different :) Anyway I'll probably be doing some minor builds here and there and messing around trying to fi...

Re: Mason/Architect app
I can't really argue that most of the stuff on the builder worlds is builder quality, but considering the amount of profanity that follows initial reactions to pagodaville, I figured an app would be in order.
Yes, I know I need vet first. that's addressed in the first post.

Mason/Architect app
Pemalite suggested when I was a builder that I submit this app so that I can be ready to get Mason as soon as I hit veteran, and so that time has come and passed, so here's the application. I've been busy building, so expect a lot of images and a few edits... http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i244/s...
