Does anyone here know it? I had a dream the other night that caused me to take interest.
Its an incredible language, right now ive just been looking into Christian sayings (being a Christian, that stuff interests me) and I love it already.

Requiesiat in pace - Rest in peace

And for the Christian ones :)
Unus Deus, una vita, unus amor - One God, one life, one love
Filius Dei - The Son of God
Agnus Dei - The Lamb of God
EGO diligo Jesus Sarcalogos - I love Jesus Christus
Deus nobiscum, quis contra? - If God is for us, who is against us?

If anyone knows anything, feel free to post it :)

I had to study French in high school - ive already noticed several similarities when it comes to verbs and nouns and their endings.
It would be awesome if my highschool had had that.

I had to either choose ancient Greek or Latin, or both. I tried both, failed a year, then dropped greek.
I study Arabic, and having studied latin may not seem like an obvious advantage, having knowledge of latin grammar things like the idafa, possesive, construction come natural to me.
It´s benefits are numerous and not to be underestimated, I encourage your interest in it.

Latin is a terribad language to learn at 7 in the morning. Also, each word has like 40 different endings. Seriously, it's not worth it if you're not 100% devoted to learning it.

That is what makes it so easy to learn.

It's not each word, you learn the endings and then you apply them to each word.

And actually, Xesdra, it means girl, girl's, girls' etc.

Not a whole lot of Latin knowledge here, but I've been studying Koine Greek for the past year and have another year ahead.

40 is a bit overdone I think. They have the same as most languages. English is the terrible language because a lot of its words are shortcuts that lose meaning.

No language is worth learning unless you're devoted to doing so.

Maybe thats because it origins from latin just like spanish and a lot of the other european languages. I also study freanch i couldn't ever even considere studying latin cause even french as it is is enough of a pain in the ass.
Some latin frazes that i know.
Alea jacta est-the die has been cast
Errare humanum est-baing wrong is humane (propably not the the best english translation)
Cave canem-beware of the dog

Why did I make this thread those 9 MONTHS ago.. I don't even know.

On a related note, I stopped looking at latin once university started screwing me over. Too time consuming, too difficult, too much effort.
