[REJECTED] Portals

I'm sure this has been requested and shot down, but I think having portals would help prevent guest confusion. something like /pset (portal_name) (portal_destination). I'm tired of reading the logs and guests are confused by the fcraft commands (which I think are easy and fast).

Portals won't help stupidity. Like anything, fCraft takes much time to learn and is mainly done by experience. How will they know /j <world> if they walk into some water that does it for them?

Portals just add simplicity. I know if I joined a new server i would want to be told exactly how the commands work...but that cant allways happen because of the fact that no one is on at midnight except for new guests.

Portals have been requested before. I consider them to be a very low priority, so I won't be adding them any time soon (not until I run out of better things to do).

Ahh okay no i dont like the portal idea its better you have /goto
but i do think a /maplist command would be awsome
but it would have to be builder+ because people might greif and we dotn want that.

There is a command to list maps/worlds. It's "/worlds." And in case you forget what it's called, it can also be accessed by typing "/maps" or "/levels." It's accessible to all ranks.

I think that portals would be a great addition to the fcraft software too... Yes, I understand that it's "low priority" but they would greatly reduce the confusion of /goto or /join or/j or /g or /tp (from a guest's point of view: "which command do I use?") along with /j *world_name* ("oh I misspelled the world name.... what are the worlds again?") etc. On a less serious note, they're visually pleasing
The only other thing I can think of that would make fcraft better is an option for turning on/off physics. That would be amazing. Everyone appreciates all that you're doing right now too!!

Portals...no. However, maybe a message that pops up at set intervals in the chat that talks about joining the different worlds rather than just a single message when you first log on. Due to the popularity of our server, by the time I comprehend what's going in the server, the first welcome messages are already gone.

You can do that with the announcements. Just set the time you want a message to pop up and then set it up in announcements.txt ( you can have multiple messages there ) and it will randomly show a message from the file a the interval you set in the config file.

Yes i do know that there are announcements. I use them in my server. Portals are entirely different than a message. Do you know if there are plans to make a command for physics too?

Phyiscs off Meh that would be weird but /gravity -# would be sick for when you jump you could go higher but that would be very hard to programme so Just an idea
