SVN question

Post by Planitia »

Can Visual Studio 2010 connect to the SVN server directly or do you need to connect with a third party app and copy the filed to HDD?

I don't want to have to connect externally it would be easier if VS could connect and get the files for me.
"Excuse me, have you got a spare $10?".... Yeah I do. So would you if you had a job.

I don't know, I don't use VisualStudio 2010. Personally I just use TortoiseSVN. I'd recommend googling.

I have it but I'm not sure how to get it to connect to the SVN server. It's all weird.

I might see if Netbeans IDE has SVN support.

You need to find a plugin. I've got one in VS2010 on my desktop that works great.

I'm a half a state away from my desktop atm, and I didn't leave it up so I can't log into it.

I see, GOOGLE IT IS!

If it's AnkhSVN, then I have it and I only just figured out how to use it.

TortoiseSVN here aswell, it has neat intergration with windows 'shell/explorer'.
And it comes with neat diff tools , conflict solvers , repository browsing tools etc etc.
