Laundry Algorithm

Post by dontstephere »

You must create an algorithm and a flowchart for doing laundry.

The following items will be available:

A pile (multiple loads) of dirty laundry
Detergent
Bleach
Fabric softener
One washing machine
One dryer

The following rules must be followed:

The algorithm will start with a multi-load pile of dirty laundry
Whites must be washed separately from colors
Colors must be washed with one cup of detergent
Whites must be washed with one cup of detergent and one cup of bleach
The washer can only hold one load of laundry at a time
The dryer can only hold one load of laundry at a time
Colors must be dried with one fabric softener
Laundry must be folded after it is dry
The algorithm will end when the last load is folded

Nope. Programming. I was asked to make an algorithm and a flowchart for it, and i already handed in the assignment. I dont think i did it right though so i wanted to see what some1 else would do.

Well then show us how you did it instead of trying to get us to answer your programming (Still computer science) homework.

I usually take my clothes out of the dryer and wait for them to fold themselves.

Interestingly the flow chart does not account for actually washing or drying the clothes. You'd end up with folded dirty clothes covered in detergent and bleach.

Also, if you can't write an algorithm to do that, I'd suggest doing some studying.

I knew something was up with the way they were coming out....

Also, I'd try yahoo answers next time. It goes something like this-

I separate not only whites and colors, but also reds from the colors. And what about towels?

Fursuits are like fine wine, they get better with time. No washing involved.

I propose a simple, easy Algorithm anyone could understand and pick up easily.

The Laundry Algorithm is an innovative solution designed to optimize laundry delivery services by streamlining operations, reducing wait times, and improving overall efficiency. If you're looking for professional assistance in building such a service, you might want to explore how laundry on demand developers can help bring your idea to life.
