I like both. :3
They really can't be compared either. Star Wars is like a fairy tale told in a Sci-Fi setting with good vs bad, knights etc. while Star Trek is more of a "science-y" what-if kind of deal.

I second Lim.
I didn't know there was a rivalry between the two.
I do know that the last three Star Wars are sub-par, and Clone Wars is absolute shit though.

I wouldn't say they're rivals, since they're both loosely based on The Foundation series by Isaac Asimov :P
I'll see you on the Dark Side of the Moon

Star Wars. Never got into Sci-Fi series. The movies are easier to get into and digest.

... <.< ....... none of you are die-hard Trekkies or Warsies then. The debate on which is better has been around since the first Star Wars film came out.

Parallels between Star Wars, Star Trek, and Foundation:

If you people actually do sit around arguing which is better, well, you need to re-prioritize.

If I HAD to pick, I'd pick Star Trek. The good bits of Star Wars are all old, and old movies are kryptonite to me.

I won the Polish championships in Star Trek knowledge but I rarely bring it up when girls are around. In fact, I rarely bring it up at all since I'm a fan and yet no "Trekkie". =)

The three original Star Wars films were the shit and I'm not even riding the "hating on the new movies" bandwagon here - they were completely devoid of charm. Clone Wars is cool though - not the film and not the new CGI series but the one that was created by Genndy Tartakovsky of Samurai Jack (et al) fame.
