Depends on the recognition sequence for the particular restriction enzyme. They're mostly developed for bacterial or fungal vectors which have a smaller genome and thus a smaller chance of randomly finding the target sequence. Not to mention that annealing primers cannot be done efficiently at body temperature. Think about PCR... (if you've covered that).

ya, we did PCR last week, (like we actually amplified some fruit DNA) and added GMO primers before we ran it through electrophoresis to check for the GMO. I found out a chicken soy patty (oxymoron) has GMOs in it. If your wondering, my school isnt really rich or snobby, they just get a lot of donations from the alumni and have dorm students that give alot of money (about 40-50 thousand) a year to go there. Kids like me get payed through taxes
