hello, my smp name is sneakyninja12.

i was currently wondering, when you are in your own house, i mean our side on the melon farm of your house, are you still alowed to kill anyone while they are in the area of there house.

as i was farming my melons when firex247 crept up behind me and killed me for no reason.

I believe that the trustees are currently working on evaluating this rule as it can sometimes be unclear. They will be clarified very soon.

Either,
1. The rule will say you can be killed outside your house because you are in open territory and are therefore free game.

2. You can not be killed within designated boundaries set up with some form of barrier. (cobble wall, fencing, etc etc)

Once Notch releases the full game and we move to a permanent map, it is my understanding that there will be the ability to designate non-pvp zones rather than just putting up fences and saying, "You can't pvp here!". Someone correct me if I am wrong please

Actually I believe it is already possible to set up non-pvp-zones via Bukkit plugins.

If you read our PvP rules, you would know that you exclude that area from PvP, you didn't thus it was a legit kill.
Please make yourself familiar with them to avoid future difficulties

Have you looked around SMP lately? Lots of 12 year olds who like to feel powerful because they have a diamond sword and you're unarmed carrying awesome stuff. They won't stop. Not now, not ever
