Suggestion for Toggle Commands

Many of the commands out there right now are toggles. Commands such as /lava, /water, /hide.... the list goes on. I have found that over time playing on the server, I can forget whether I'm hidden, or whether blue blocks will turn into water when I try to place them (etc), so I propose this:

To turn on water at any time, type /water on. If already on, you will see something along the lines of "water is already on!" To turn it off (when you want blue wool to stay blue wool), type /water off. Of course, /water would be able to continue working the way it already does as a toggle, but I think it might be useful to type one command and know I'm ready to fill a guest's pool, whether I have it on or off.

What do you think? Would being able to add "on" or "off" to toggles be useful?

Oohhh, just thought of something else. What if typing "/bi on" could make it a toggle as well? Could be very nice when examining someone's build to see if it is original. Also could be used at grief scenes (maybe) to see if more than one person was involved.

/static
/bi

That will accomplish what you're asking :P

Fair enough, but the first part of the suggestion stands, as /static is already employed in toggles.

Alright, I will add on/off (or 1/0) support to:
  • /water
  • /lava
  • /grass
  • /hide
If you can think of any other commands that could use toggling on/off, let me know.

Off the top of my head, I can only think of /solid to add to the list, but I will let you know if I think of any more.

Ah yes, /solid. Will add that as well.

Hmm, maybe /static and /deafen, (after all, they are just as much a toggle as the others) although not as frequently used as the others. There may be moderating commands that I'm not aware of that could benefit from an on switch as well.

Thanks Fragmer!
:D
