Dumbest thing i've ever seen. It pretty much says nothing about why MC is useful for teaching.
I've not seen that, but it makes me feel right at home for some reason. Perhaps it is the argueing about who's stayed in the worst place in England, hehe.

Maybe for art class... but beyond that, it sounds like a bad(good?) excuse to play minecraft.

Bad, for sure. I can't find any solid reason as to why they're trying to use Minecraft as an educational tool anywhere.
Also, just look at those included skins. They're atrocious!

I've just gotten dumber since Minecraft entered my life. The only SLIGHTLY relevant thing is probably redstone which caused me to do some small and easy research on boolean logic, but apart from that it's just blocks. Blocks with no educational value.

This. However, I'm sure anyone who is teaching boolean logic in school would prefer to use a more sophisticated method.
Also, with the right setup, I could
maybe see Minecraft being used to teach some introductory economics for younger students.

Would need physics for this to demonstrate proper construction. There is no way this would provide any benefit because it isn't a construction sim, it's just a game.

yeah but you can place sand on top of a torch so that's totally NOT physics based
