/extend, extend blocks upward/horizontally

I was building yesterday and i was making a wall that had different turns and shapes so, after laying the base, i have to /c each individual section upward. My idea was to have a command where you could type something like /ex or /extend (block height) and you could select a area for this to act on, this command would raise the blocks in that area by the number of blocks given. This would allow for complex shapes of buildings that arent square to easily be brought upward with a simple command, otherwise you would have to /c or do it by hand. Also this prevents the need for you to tower blocks to reach a height that you want to do a /c off from. I might just be too lazy to do the extra /c, but i think this would help with building in many different ways. I asked if this had been suggested and no one told me it had so i decided to go ahead and make this thread. Another idea would be to make this work horizontally as well. To me it seems like it would be a bit complicated to make, if you think its not worth the effort then i can definetly live without it. :D

/mark partially alleviates this problem, as you can fly up and use your head height as a reference. However, /mark isn't always accurate, and even if it were, this idea would be far more convenient for the scenario.

How about /copying the base, /static, and spam /paste consecutively upwards until you get a wall? I've done it before! :D

yes, those of viable options, and as i said, there are ways to do it, this would just be a easier way to, and I'm sure there are other ways that this could be helpful to people, such as making exact heights without counting out the blocks.

More of a luxury command, but I would love it. I've had to do this countless times on some of my 3D builds. For simple straight lines its as easy as picking a corner and using mark with a /c. However, with something such as a wavy line, it would be nice to be able to extend only say the line rather than the line and the surrounding air.

A lot of the time it will still require a marker block to be placed in mid-air. For larger extensions, this is a pain. As I said above, it's merely a luxury command.
