If an Op or someone knowledgeable of the way promotions occur can create a tree of promotions, it'd be much appreciated.

EDIT: I should clarify, I didn't create this -- I actually don't even know who did!

Thanks

Its not marked as application based. That practice lasted all of one day.

Why would you choose to be a mason over an OP?

You don't choose to be OP, that's why. Also the fact that you see it that way says alot about you.

So a mason or architect can't become an OP?
Or is it possible but is it just not shown on the ''Tree of Promotions''.

Request to be demoted, then just wait it out. Sometimes not, like Pemalite, but otherwise, yeah I think so

That makes no sense what so ever...
So if im a pro builder and proofed myself as one i need to be demoted 2 ranks (architect > mason > vet) before i can help the community even more?
Makes no sense to me...

Masons and architects do "help the community". You don't need to be able to moderate to help people.

This as well, I was mainly referring to masons, Ops that were Masons:
Boblol0909
Mchlpeel
Pemalite
.
.
More?

I know they can help the community, but OPs can help them MORE

Oh God it's not hard. Some people just play the game for the building aspect, and may not be interested in trying to moderate. Those people go for mason and architect.

And sometimes they change their minds and decide to go to the op route. They then make that known and we treat it on a case-by-case basis as to how they change ranks. For example Pemalite went from Architect straight to Supop as he had already proved himself as a reliable and competent user, from there it was only a matter of teaching him the new commands.

Ok, well I'm not gonna bother for Mason on this server, I don't like the commands here :S
All the funny ones are gone...
/joker
/gun
/missile
/slap
/fakeban
/megaban
etc.

On this server with a lot of people moderation is my favourite thing to do.
The moment I'm vet I'm gonna patrol non-stop :D

Those commands are stupid.

The "fun" commands are not gone, they were never there. I am of the opinion (and I think that fragmer agrees) that commands like these are written by 14-year olds and unnecessarily use resources for stuff that is funny for 10 seconds and isn't the "heart" of Minecraft classic anyways.

I don't really know what the ''heart'' of classic is but for me I play for fun which I partially obtain from such commands.

The "heart" of classic is creating stuff and keeping your stuff safe from others.

All of the commands you listed are absolutely useless in that regard.

Actually no,
I can give a good example:
As you know on fCraft freebuild /k is the last line of defence.
On a server I used to play on builders had /gun as the last line of defence, preventing him from moving a lot because you are spawncamping.
Slap also prevents people from building while in mid air (until they figure out how to respawn in mid air...)

They are still useless. :sheep:
