Anime and Manga

What Manga/Anime are you watching or reading?

At first I watched mainly Mainstream such as Inyuyasha, Naruto (and Shippuden), and Bleach. Naruto was the only one I continued to stay interested in. Dragonball Z was a classic anime I watched.

I also recently started an anime called Wolf's Rain where two people got their jugulars ripped out in the first episode, so it's good so far.

FLCL is forever my favorite anime. It's a great coming-of-age story and the soundtrack kicks ass.

A couple more of my favorites are Serial Experiments Lain and Cowboy Bebop,
and I found an old vhs of a series called "All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku" that's completely insane.

Also, watch Akira.

Akira seems more like a classic anime movie to me. It has a slightly older style to it.

I've heard Fairy Tale is good but have yet to watch it.

Im on episode 24 of 30 of Wolfs Rain now and I must say things took a turn for the better. The story was well written and progresses fluently and smoothly enough to keep you interested.

I recommend Ebichu, it's slightly NSFW (Actually quite a lot), but it's short (each ep. is 10 minutes, there're 24 in total) and every episode is tremendously hilarious.

Requires you to login, unfortunately

Just thought I would share ^^

I found Maria+Holic's art style and humor refreshingly enjoyable. AnimeNetwork currently has the first season on YouTube.

Here's the first episode:

Actually it's called Fairy Tail, and yeah that is nice
that's a clip of it.

And I like an Anime called Beelzebub. It's about an evil (sort of) High School student that was chosen to take care of the Demon King's baby. It's kinda nice.

Maybe I'll give Fairy Tail a try.

Anyways I finished up Wolf's Rain and it was absolutely fantastic.

Here's a clip from way earlier on that wont spoil anything.

Also, I believe I've heard of Beezlebub but never really looked into it.

EDIT: Just finished the first episode of Fairy Tail. Not the greatest dub, but still not bad so far. Only the first episode so I won't judge quite yet.

I'm mostly a manga person myself and keen on D.Gray-man although the mangaka has recently gotten a hand injury that has slowed her down to a measly chapter a month.

I do like beezlebub which was mention earlier, and I started off with fruits basket (or furuba) which is a bit of a girly-girl manga but still really enjoyable. Fairy tail is also awesome and so is Fullmetal alchemist.

I read a manga called psyren recently and it wasn't all that bad and so I'd say give that a shot. 007 ghost, ao no exorcist, Degeki daisy, Gaken alice and Kuroshitsuji (or black butler as it's more commonly known) and Ouran high school host club are also quite enjoyable.

Been reading "AIKI" of late and it is absolutely insane! literally, it makes no real sense whatsoever but maybe that's why I am so addicted? haha
I love the way this mangaka draws and the faces are just priceless so I would definitely advise checking it out, it has mild sex + nakedness involved but it doesn't really interfere with whatever plot the manga actually has.

Hope you had fun reading my wall of text :/

Quite an old french-japanese anime about the lost mayan cities of gold. I used to watch the shit out of this when I was 6-7 years old and I suspect Lim might have seen it aswell as it was aired on polish national television back in the beginning of the '90s.

I have the Manga Reader as well.

Anyways, just bumped this to give Fairy Tail my seal of approval. I am on episode 90, and even though I try to stay away from anime that is mainstream, I must say that this one has some excellent writers behind it.

Considering I will be hopefully taking a trip to Japan sometime, I plan on meeting the people who write it.

This is an understatement.

Next on the list: Neon Genesis Evangelion or Inuyasha (Used to watch it when I was younger, but the series only went so far on Adult swim)

Toradora! is my favorite animu of all time. But, I'm a sucker for romantic comedies that make me cry my eyes out.

It's been a while since I've kicked the habit, but my top three were:

1) Cowboy Bebop
2) Samurai Champloo
3) FLCL

The opening credits for the first two should give you an idea of the artistic style of the two shows, which, I absolutely loved. Dubl was kind enough to link the trailer to FLCL, already, so I will refrain.

Edit: One should never fail to mention Azumanga Daioh, which, at first glance, seems like an animu for the ladies, but really is just too quirky to pass up.
