If I am blacklisted from a zone called "test" set to guest+, and I attempt to whitelist myself in it, I see this:

"You must be guest+ to add yourself to this zone's whitelist"

You sure whitelisting yourself isn't just disabled?

Positive. When I reproduced it, I created the zone myself. Even if whitelisting were disabled, it's still odd that I'm told I must be guest+.
Steps involved:
/zadd test guest -(your name)
/zedit test +(your name)

The first step can be performed by anyone, the second by you.
