Hey all,

Is it worth buying minecraft for the xbox 360 or not? Give me your opinions, I've heard great things and bad things about the game, but I'm still on the fence about it.

Yes I have minecraft for the computer but it still lags out quite alot between multiple issues.

Its a lot scaled back from the PC version (missing things like food, enchantments etc), with very little modding capability. For now it is equivalent to the 1.6 Beta version; updates are planned but will probably be slow and less sophisticated. I see no reason why you would want to buy it unless you have a lot of friends who play on the console instead of the PC.

In addition, the world isn't limitless as it is in the PC version, which I found to be a bit of a bummer. The multiplayer is seamless, a lot smoother than it is in the PC version, but at this point, I don't think it's worth the price.

Fun fact: Mojang announced that it was profitable within the first hour of its release.

It's not supported by Mojang either, it's 3rd party, and that 3rd party have lots of other games to port so it will not get the attention PC version gets.

I found it pretty much pointless when you could just use a program like Mcpatcher and go back to 1.6, then you have pretty much the same game, but more room, and less of your money spent.

Thank you all for the input, the limited world really seems to be a killer plus how outdated it is compared to the PC version.
