I'm actually surprised at the somewhat deep development that seems to be in the game so far. I'm very close to pre-ordering.

A new dynamic battle system is one of the main things that attracts me.

I believe if you pre-order it now, you get beta access. I'll have to look later.

Confirmed. If you pre-order, you get access to all beta events.

This looks extremely interesting, $60 seems like quite a bit to gamble on a game that may or may not turn out well, though.

Yes, but unlike most MMOs of that size, it doesn't have a monthly fee. It'll also be on Steam from what I heard. So you may be lucky and catch it on sale.

Whats everybodies first char going to be?

I'm thinking about building a Mesmer or Necromancer.
I think those will came closest to a Deceptive Warlock (my fav class in D&D).

Arkanus- Nord Ranger

Either going with a ranger or elementalist.

I was an elementalist my first time playing through GW and I love them, but it seems this time around every person wants to be one >.>

On the Guild Wars 2 page, they have a list of the professions and videos of some skills.

Edit: I must say that the Thief/ profession looks neat as well.

Human Guardian

May my enemies discover fear as they burn in my aura,
May they learn humility as they find their blows gleefully received by my shield,
May they accept their fate under the weight of my mace.

I was thinking of playing the beta as a Human Mesmer.

Then, when the 3 day earlier access starts I'll switch to my Norn Ranger.

Soon...

Not sure if any of you will read this before the game comes out, but it appears that you can download updates even without being able to log into the game.... Might save you some time on the 25th o_-

ArenaNet released a list of the servers and the regions that they will belong to. Does everyone still plan on setting home to Anvil Rock?

How about DarkHaven, American region?

Anvil Rock seems to fill up quite fast.

Alright. For Simplicity we will go with EU Aurora Glade.

If I have lag thanks to it being EU, heads will roll.

Eh, you're east coast. It shouldn't be too bad.

But...but....I'm in the midwest!

(But in all seriousness, I don't mind an EU server. What country are they located in, anyway?)
