If you look on the side bar on google images, there is a section for size. If you hit "exactly...", it'll open up a small section where you can type in how big or small you want the image to be (128x128 is the maximum size your forum pic can be). Type that in, then look for an image. After that, you can save it to your computer and upload it to the forums OR you can copy the image's URL and paste that in. Up to you really.

As for the gifs, I'm not too sure.

You could also find an image that you like and resize it in just about any image editing program to be under 128x128 pixels.

You don't want to make images bigger than they are, because they'll end up looking crappy.

Anyway, Google can tell you how to resize animated gifs.

I've used the 'Exactly...' tool in Google Images and I'm still not having any luck. The forum either says "The URL you specified is invalid." or "The value you entered is too long.". When I try and upload an image from my PC, it tends to say "Temporary folder could not be found. Please check your PHP connection." :x

I'm sure my PHP connection is fine, so why is it saying this?
Does the image have to be a certain file type? I've tried Bitmap, JPEG and PNG already.

This usually has to do with a permissions issue and has yet to be fixed by someone who has server access considering it requires access to the root PHP directory. That is, if Host Europe allows them to access that directory.

We have a VPS, not a webhost. HostEurope doesn't even care which HTTP server we use.

I'm aware of the problem and am looking for a fix. The same bug is fucking with the donation bar.

Thanks, I'll wait for the problem to be fixed. :)
I am in Europe, just for the record.

Sorry - missed this thread completely.

It was an extremely easy fix, just as Arkaunis pointed out.

The permissions on our C:\Windows\Temp directory for IUSR were set incorrectly.

Everything should be fine now.

P.S. We don't have a VPS - we have a root server, Hafnium! (Which is still virtualized for the sake of easy management but we have full access to its resources.)

Okay, fine. For the purposes of this bug, however, it makes little difference.
