Jails In Main

Okay so a while ago myself [HKSilo] and a couple of people [CrimsonTensai,stayster,freeze135,Appleman2011] decided to make a jail out of admincrete. :admincrete:

Originally i think [CrimsonTensai] was just joking but i saw it as an opportunity! so i started partolling around and sooner or later i bump into a spammer. What a great tester! so i froze him and used the /bring command to move him into the jail. I Started doing so for more people who were rule breaking. Of course [Appleman2011] saw me doing so and started to follow.

After a while [CrimsonTensai] came to check it out and noticed we were using it. So i told him he should make a bigger one in the corner out of the way from guests. He agreed and made another in the corner. Before we knew it [stayster] joined in as jail operator by speaking to all of the so called "Prisoner's". [freeze135] was the Jail's watchdog. [Appleman2011 and HKSilo me] was patrolling and bringing in new Prisoner's. Though i dont really know where [CrimsonTensai] went o_O.

This system was working great! it was fun. A new way of doing things and really effective!

So i make a suggestion. I think that we should introduce this into main. Its might not be a bad idea? pease hear me out. Cause its a great idea!

Thanks, HKSilo

I like it when we freeze then and tell them to stop. Then if they continue, we kick them! Yes, kick them! 100% Jail free!

We have never and will not ever operate jailing as a punishment for guests.

1. "R"
2. "/spawn"
3. "But wait!" you say, "they can't do it if they are frozen!" Well, if they are frozen, they can't do anything anyway, why bother moving them to a jail? Then they are just wasting a server slot.

If they don't respond I keep them frozen and place them on a chessboard, but that's just me.

To add to the fact that we would never support using jails but if it were to work properly you'd need an Op+ to set the spawn for every offender. That'd be alot of work.

[Shreebz] thinks that jailing takes up player slots. Why should we waste our precious 64 slots on rule breakers?

TBH I don't mind jails being used in THAT way - what I didn't like were jails where people would be put upon spawning.
Basically I don't care HOW people are moderating as long as they are moderating and not abusing. IF you have the time to actually oversee the jail and manage the people in it AND are talking to them instead of just laughing, do what you want - it won't be any kind of general rule though.
Ah, and people can clip through admincrete (without the WoM client, even) so it'll stop only the STUPID griefers. ^^
