Is kicking or banning people without warn and make reason tool is allowed ?

[2011-07-13 00:00:10] Destoned: im doing this because your name is in caps.
[2011-07-13 00:00:20] IP associated with ALLSTARDEVIL248 was banned by Destoned
[2011-07-13 00:00:20] Ban reason: tool
[2011-07-13 00:00:20] ALLSTARDEVIL248* was banned (BanAll) by Destoned

if you look AT the logs (full logs, not just selecting one peice), that was the second time i kicked him for griefing in 10 minutes
Which is probably why you left that bit out

I didn't said "you can't ban people" but you must "warn" before kick or ban...
And i didn't select one piece of logs if you have full logs upload here...

if it was the fulllogs you wouldnt be missing 70 seconds inbetween the two peices of the 'full logs' eh?

I said if you have full logs upload here maybe i was joining other worlds ? i didn't edit any of these logs.

my wom is not saving the logs but we can easily get a supop to pull up the real - UNedited logs

Also, based on the event, and the amount of damage done, warning is not a 'must'

This is not the right forum. This one is reserved for technical support for the servers software. I believe under general is says "Server related topics that don't fall under anything else". Even though this would've been better dealt with by just telling a sup-op who can review logs about it.

animator is working on getting the logs
but yes general would have made more sense

I didn't said "you'r not following rules" i just said "YOU HAVE TO WARN PEOPLE BEFORE KICK OR BAN".. Yes im here for 3 days, you have more experience than me but "i know the rules". So if you kick or ban people before warn i have to warn you. If you say "you shouldn't be talking a +1 years old man" (like this) i have to report you..

If you've kicked someone prior to banning them, a warn is not required.

Can we have a summary of what happened here since I'm too lazy to look at logs? Destoned banned some griefer after not warning him the second time around?
Bad, bad Destoned - if he was a griefer though and he was warned at least once and kept returning to grief I honestly don't care. ;-)
Next time warn before every moderator action though, Destoned, if only to avoid stupid drama like this.

actually was you shouldnt be giving advise to someone whos been here almost a year longer then you. And yes the rules are warn-kick-ban. Not even sure if we have that in writing anywhere anymore. But everyone (mostly op+) knows that when you have tons of griefers to watch at once, or when someone does something that cant be explained by "oh sorry im new" that they are fucking with everyones projects just to piss people off. We WILL kick, without giving those stupid fucks a warning.
another example is the swastica, no warn, not even a kick. Strait out ban.
You need to be around for more then three days to understand whats going on.

good for you, follow them and dont be a pest to the people keeping the server from being chaos

I can't believe we are having major drama over such a blatant a-hole. ;-)

Anyways - the "rules", or at least "proper conduct" is usually warn, kick, warn, ban. I don't mind the lack of a second warn if a user behaves like that though. COMMON SENSE PEOPLE, COMMON SENSE!

So in Short Lim.

Some guy complains that Allstar was griefing him
he tells him to go cry to his mom about it 'bitch'

so i fucked him up =)

Unfortunatly i didnt see him rejoin, or i wouldv been watching him sooner
he was probably griefing the whole time

Then there were 2 complaints that he was griefing, i saw him doing so after teleporting to him and banned him

oh im soo sorry, IMO warning someone is to tell them theyre doing something wrong so they can aknowledge that, and stop doing that wrong. This guy clearly knew what he was doing was pissing people off
