Hello there dear viewers and readers of th.. (oh dear...!)
My suggestion is that you can, when its not enough op's on, apply for builder on the forums. That simple...
Pros:
-More users
-more activity on forum.
-more ppl will know of the forums
Cons:
-More messy appeal/application forum
-more noobs on forum.
So what do you think?
Edit by fragmer: Moved to the correct forum section.

no, in the time someone has replied to that thread there are usually already enough OPs on. Most won't even know how to appeal let alone write proper english making your cons stand out majorly.
Remember that we have thousands upon thousands of builders.

This should be in
http://forum.fcraft.net/viewforum.php?f=2
Not here. This forum is about the server software. Not on our server rules.

Yeah we can encourage the forum usage, and we do that as it is with announcements and references but forcing users to register and log on here to move up in the game will diminish our server load.

Or maybe make a forum account a prereq for veteran?

No. Builders applying goes against the way the servers work in terms of moderation: rank distribution is more of a crisis management thing (though has lower priority to other things, like grief), and thus must be solved in game. Whenever there are not enough ops on, I've just used veteran votes and input into the ranking system, they'll need to see it anyway if they ever get op.
