Hafnium: Bad dreaming, some people are stupid.
Have you tried deleting system32?

Dreaming: Thats not funny.
freeze135: Dont delete it, it will kill your windows.
Freeze: What windows version are you using? Maybe try the installer with "Run as administrator" from the rightclick menu.

My Windows Version is Windows 7 Home Basic and the run as administrator thing is not working
and I think that the main reason is my Anti virus .
My anti virus is Windows Security Essentials, because the laptop currently im using is shared w/ the family and my dad wants Windows Security Essentials Than McAfee.

Get rid of Security Essentials, it causes more problems than it solves. Download Avast instead

Disable antivirus and then log into an actually administrator account and then try installing it. I'd then suggest installing the recommended Avast.

stfu all.
Compultr n3rd coming through
It seems like..... Ok. this is what i want u to do. Go to Start, and go into Control Panel. Now click Uninstall windows programs, or something like that. atm i'm on my craptop XP, so i can't verify. Now, i want you to look for any versions of Java that was installed before. Heaven knows that Java is a shit program both to install AND uninstall. It leaves shit everywhere, and you gotta clean it up before you put new ones in.
btw, screw Avast. get AVG fo cereal. free AND effective. also get Malwarebytes to get rid of those elusive bugs. both are free. Never pay for Utilities unless you need to.
-EDIT: adjusted reply. misread OP :L

He really doesn't need the 64 bit version of java. As a (probably) normal consumer, he's unlikely to run into 64 bit java applications/applets. It's nice to have, assuming you have more than 4gb of memory, but most users will never use it.
Edit: lol, way to ninja edit your post in such a way as to make my post more confusing. Disregard the above, or not.

After a quick research, i've ascertained that this is a Global issue, and not an issue with Java. Son, what did you do.
It seems that the Registry link to your USERAPP data folder is fubar'd. there's 2 ways of fixing this. One crappy way is to download some shady registry fixer from the interweb and fubar ur entire system
The second way involves 2 possible methods. First, tell me, do you know how to use
RegEdit? If you don't, Microsoft actually has a solution to that.
But in all honesty, i don't trust any kind of shit they make. Best to do it yerself if you know how to do it. but if not, Microsoft is a safer bet. you never know with RegEdit. One time you're trying to fix a dead registry key, the next you just deleted System32. *looks at dreaming*
@Llama yaa, i do that alot. my advice didn't make sense when i reread the OP's info.

Dear God... WOW you know to to get viruses... I live in a nerds house and I know what you should get, and it's Avast, Malwarebytes shut down my computer and it took 4 days and £100 to fix, please, it doesn't matter about the clean-up, it's worth it...
Also, Cartoon has a good idea

are you sure it wasn't a virus that hijacked Malwarebytes that caused you're Computer's demise barrow? It's called Autoimmune diseases. >.>

I always go with a manual registry hack rather than let some shady tool do it for me...
BTW, the difference between Windows 7 home and ultimate? That gap can be closed with a few (read a lot) clever registry edits, for anybody who's ever agonized over the price difference.

No, it WAS Malwarebytes, but go with what you want and hope for the best, that's how I roll

Malwarebytes is a standalone scanning and fixing program when downloaded free. The only way it could have fubar'd ur system is if you had a very stealthy rootkit virus that malwarebytes DETECTED, but the virus was rooted so deep in your system that when it removed it, your system went into cardiac shock, causing misfolded polypeptides to aggregate and eventually rapid cell death.

i've seen all.

If the OP does know how to use regedit, then i suggest he pay close attention to this advice:
I would like to suggest you the following steps and after that you can solve you issue. to do this you need to go through the following steps: first make click on the start icon on the desktop and after that click on the search. Now on the search type regedit and after that hit the ok button. now on the result you will get the registry editor and after that make double click on the registry editor. Now on the registry editor go to the following location:
Quote:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
Now on the right side the correct the value of the AppData to %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming and once you done and after that do this same way in below registry keys:
Quote:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\
Now once you done and after that restart your system and then go through your issue.
It's not a difficult task, but it CAN get messy if you have no clue what you're doing. Everything you change in regedit Changes permanently
Microsoft has a more elaborate article
Here. Shows both manual AND automatic methods.

Yea... except when it doesn't...
There's a lot of stuff M$ doesn't want you to change, which will change itself back. That shit requires even MORE registry editing to edit.

ah, i shoulda figured. MS's propitiatory mindset to come to it's registry. How unsurprising. I assume those registry keys that you would have to edit to get past that are like the 'security systems' of the registry.

Yea, to do the interesting stuff you sometimes need to update values before the values you just changed revert back to their normal state, etc. Scripts are unfortunately sometimes required for tasks that would be impossible to do manually.

One more thing.. Since im using a 64 bit windows and I have the Java Version 6 update 26 for 64 bit, I could use my 64 bit Windows to Play Minecraft w/o hax.
But I would like still for solutions for my problem
And also.. The RegEdit Thingy, I did that before and it doesnt work.
So another Suspect for this Crime(problem) would be Windows 64bit

I use Avast as a general shield and Hijack This to clean up anything that gets through.

Sound advice, I run the same setup. I actually paid for avast to use their virtualization feature for browsers, etc.
