[REJECTED] Shortcuts for copy/paste/cut

Post by BobKare »

Hi all!

I was copying and pasting a lot here one day, and I got some irritated over that there aren't any shortcuts for /copy and /paste commands.
Yes, I know about the repeat function you use by typing a single /.

It's just that I'm not mass pasting one thing, but I'm copying and pasting lots of things!
The CopySlots coming out in 0.600 is brilliant, and absolutely a step forward, but shortcuts would be good.

I first thought about /c for copy, /v for paste and /x for cut, like for Windows' ctrl+c/v/x. But /c is already in use for cuboid, and it would be too much changing that to only /z.

/v and /x are not in use, if there aren't any shortcuts I haven't noticed in the new major update.
Maybe /co for copy? /cp?

I know it's not very long commands to write, but when doing a lot of such work, this would be useful.

Thank you looking into it,

-BobKare

Just my opinion, but I dont really think that typing those few extra letters is going to hurt.

They are pretty cool and relevant aliases though. There is certainly no harm in adding them.

For guests on the server and for ppl that don't need to download anything to get features......
And no, it doesn't harm, and you spare like.... 1 sec for each command? Doing it 120 times? 2 min? After some months, 3000 sec? lololol jk

But like Ollie said, there's no harm adding them, and it's feature. Maybe not the hugest one tho..

I got no rly answer if it gets enabled or not, and what fragmer thinks about it. So, to not let it run down to next page, I posted that.

Happy?!

/c and /x are in use. Paste is not used often enough to justify wasting a 1-letter shortcut (a limited resource) on it. So that's a "no"

Cut. Its copying, and removing at the same time so you don't have 2 copies.

Hm wait a second, /z is used, not /x. Well, I dont care for these shortcuts either way.
