Blade and Soul NEO is a refreshed and enhanced version of BnS NEO Classic Divine Gems the original Blade and Soul, featuring upgraded graphics, new mechanics, and quality-of-life improvements that make gameplay smoother and more engaging. This guide is designed to help new players start effectively and make the most of their early experience in the game.
Account Security
Before starting your adventure, securing your account is essential. Activate OTP authentication and register your devices to protect your account. This not only ensures safety but also provides an in-game buff, giving you a small advantage from the outset.
Questing and Leveling
Following the main story quests, marked in yellow, is the fastest route to level up. These quests provide the most experience points (XP) and are key to progressing efficiently. Optional side quests, shown in blue, reward Valor Stones, which are vital for acquiring skill books and other upgrades later in the game. Tutorial quests, in purple, introduce class mechanics and grant skill books. Completing the Hongmoon Class Questline-a series of about six quests-is highly recommended for new players. Daily quests, indicated by red, provide consistent rewards and should be completed regularly once available.
Tips for Efficient Questing
Use the quest teleport feature to reach NPCs instantly, reducing travel time. If an area becomes crowded, switch channels using the top-right mini-map option. When multiple players compete for the same objective, consider forming a party to share kills and loot efficiently.
Field Bosses and Leveling Weapons
Field bosses drop Soul Shields and temporary leveling weapons. To find active boss fights more easily, switch channels as needed. The Wheel of Fate can help secure a complete Soul Shield set and leveling weapons, which streamline progression. Avoid farming field bosses excessively, as the gear becomes outdated quickly.
Skill Book Transmutation
Extra skill books can be broken down into Skill Book Fragments, which can then be transmuted into new skill book chests. There is a 20% chance to upgrade to a higher rarity, so consistent transmutation is recommended to expand and improve your skill options.
Professions and Crafting
Crafting unlocks at Level 11 in major towns. Each character can join two guilds, and with three character slots, you can access all six guilds across multiple characters. Crafting guilds fall into two categories: Gear Crafting, which includes Radiant Ring (accessories), Forgekeeper (weapons), and Soul Warden (Soul Shields); and Buff Crafting, which includes Earthseer (Sealing Charms, Buff Charms, Revival Charms), Silver Cauldron (potions), and Acquired Taste (food). Earthseer is particularly valuable in the late game, while Soul Warden is excellent for alternate characters due to account-bound Soul Shield Bases. Crafting materials are obtained from cheap BnS NEO Classic Divine Gems monster drops or NPC purchases, but some crafted items, such as accessories, cannot be traded, so plan carefully.
