SMP: Connection lost

Post by Shreebz »

Can someone give me a solution to this problem? Also, have others encountered this error?

"Connection lost internal exception: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out"

So far I've obviously reinstalled Minecraft, and restarted my computer.

I'm also getting it, must be something with the server. Grab a beer and do something else. I'll call you when it's fixed.

Go to your control panel, type device manager in the search bar, go to network adapters, right click your ethernet and click properties. go to the advanced tab, select the option "transmit buffers" and set the value to 512.

Hopefully that should fix it.

Can't find Transmit Buffers, is there anything that might be interchangeable for it?

I dont think so, some computers don't have the option.

another route you can try is updating your video card.

type run in your search bar, then type dxdiag

Take your system manufacture and enter that + drivers into Google.

your manufacturing company may ask for a service tag, it's really easy if you have a dell.

If not you'll have to type in the information, which can all be found on the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, which you had already opened with dxdiag.

Check if there are any updates for your video card.

Hope that helps.

Well, I waited a day and tried logging in again; it works fine now.

Dammit Notch.
