[FIXED] Typing color codes from console may crash clients.

I was testing colors in Console today, and i wanted to see if you can use colors in the kick reasons, so i used & Color commands, It kicked the person with the colored reason, but crashed the server lol.

I know it was a bad idea but i was testing stuff lol

Btw i tried this 2 times, And dont try it at home lol it'll immediatly crash it

That's because '&' in minecraft crashes it.

EDIT: or not, I just tested exactly what you said and nothing happened (meaning it worked, I saw colors, no one crashed).

The ENTIRE server froze lol, i had to force restart it.

Yup, i typed from the console /kick boblol0909 &4cause i can

and on my wom screen it said

Kicked by (console):cause i can

Can you post what version your working with and on what os?
And do you get the crash each time you kick? or did it happend once?

i think it is the fcraft ui, ive had trouble with it just randomly crashing, but im using fcraft console, and it works better, even less memory useage.

Ok I think I finally understood what you were trying to do. Minecraft clients do crash on certain malformed messages, especially if they involve color codes. Next version of fCraft has a new chat sanitizer that will make sure that a crash-causing message would never be sent to a player.

Haha, frag, that bug has been around since the early days of fcraft. I remember when I was giving you bug reports on IRC mentioning this one.
